Come And Get To Know Me In 25 Questions

Day trip up to Sugar Loaf mountain in Brazil - 2015

Come and meet me properly…

After an extremely tough weekend, I do not have the brain power to write an in-depth meaty blog post. I did however, stumble across the ’25 things about me’ tag. Since I enjoyed doing the Liebster Award so much, I thought I would do this and share all this information about me with you.

For giggles, I shall throw in a complete random mix of photos so you can see how I have grown into the person I am today!

It will give you a laugh if nothing else.

Here goes…

25 Get To Know Me Questions

Looking all cute and little

Looking all cute and little

1. What is your middle name?

My middle name is Louise – lots of people I know have this middle name, definitely a common one, but I like it all the same.

2. What was your favourite subject at school?

Well I love school and for that reason I had more than one favourite. But when you consider all the evidence and if I really, really had to choose, I would say English. Always in love with the written word.

3. What is your favourite drink?

I really am not that exciting when it comes to drinks. I love the odd cuppa, but drink mostly water. My go to alcoholic drink is vodka and lemonade. Although you can beat a bubbly glass of prosecco or lager shandy on a hot day!

4. What is your favourite song of the moment?

No idea. I listen to songs from the 1930’s onwards. I have thousands of favourites and electic tastes. But genre wise I would say pop!

5. What is your favourite food?

A load of juicy scallops to start, followed by a huge fillet steak cooked rare, chips and a huge crunchy salad; don’t forget the mayonnaise on the side! Then for the finale it would be a huge chocolate feast of brownie chunks, chocolate and vanilla ice cream, choc chips, sprinkles, chocolate sauce with one spoon….like I would share!

I went to a real High School Homecoming Dance at my cousin's school in Florida. Was incredible!!!

6. What is the last thing you bought?

Um…well, online it would be a bit of a splurge with clothes. I came clean to Sam when he came home – I even told him the amount I’d spent. My excuse is that half of it is probably going to be sent back anyway!

I also spent 99p on a song on iTunes.

7. Favourite book of all time?

Again, no idea. I love books. I have tons of them. My favourite authors are Katie Fforde and Sophie Kinsella – but so much more still to read. I’ll keep you posted.

8. Favourite colour?

Ah, very easy! Pink. Even better if the pink sparkles! All who know me are very well aware that pink is my colour.

9. Do you have any pets?

No, sadly not at the moment. When I was a child I had rabbits and fish. Being a full time worker and being out all day every day makes it hard to keep anything alive.

10. Favourite perfume?

My absolute go to is CoCo Mademoiselle by Chanel – love it. Bloody expensive though! My most recent purchase which I am getting lots of compliments on is ‘Olympea’ by Paco Rabbane.

11. Favourite holiday?

Last year Sam and I went to Brazil on our delayed honeymoon. We went for four weeks and did tons. That was extremely memorable and I was super proud of myself for being in a plane for 12 hours!!!!

Doing Florida when I was a young teenager was also awesome! Can’t wait to go back.

12. Are you married?

Yup sure am! Sam and I got married on 8th August 2014 and I have loved everyΒ  minute. Well it’s easy when you’ve married your best friend. I’d do the wedding day all over again – with the same person of course. Everyone warns you how fast it goes and it’s so true. My one piece of advice is get your wedding filmed! I love watching it and you get to see so much more than you do on the day.

I survived on glasses of water and had about 5 mouthfuls of the wedding breakfast.

I was just buzzing on pure excitement and adrenalin for the entire day.

Even went to bed after 1am and up by about 6.15am the night before our big day!

13. Have you ever been out of the country? If so, how many times?

Oh gosh..um yes, lots and lots! Not entirely sure of the number but well into double digits!

14. Do you speak another language?

I love Sophie Kinsella! She writes with such humor! I really enjoy the heroine in her novels because they do the most outrageous things! She has also penned some other books under the name Madeleine Wickham, if you want to check it out.

By the way…as you seem to like Murder related programmes…have you ever watched death in paradise? My husband and I watch it when we’re chilling. It’s murder mysteries but set on Caribbean islands, so it’s like lighthearted death. I have a feeling you’d like it.
